Summer calls for flawlessly bronzed skin and so I am always on the lookout for the perfect product to achieve this...
I tend to opt for a softly bronzed cheek rather than blush when applying my make up. I've tried cheek products in creams, gels and powders before but never a mousse. (Saying that I have tried Maybelline's Dream Matte Mousse which was THE foundation to have when I was about 14!). I have dry skin and prefer to alternatives to powders to keep a dewy look.
I have seen the Bourjois Bronzing Primer gracing makeup aisles before but have never picked it up to investigate further. The packaging is simple and neat coming in a screw top pot with a bronze, gold and turquoise theme similar to their Delice De Poudre bronzer. The most notable thing is the sweet scent - chocolate and vanilla. This can either be used on its own, as a primer before foundation or after foundation - the latter being my preference.
Now lets get down to the most important bit. How does it apply and what does it look like? With a Real Techniques buffing brush it fades into the skin creating a very gentle look. I think it is very easy to over apply bronzer and end up looking oompa-loompa-esque The colour in the pot does look very daunting but yet this almost disappears when you blend it in so you need to build it up (but not too much!!!).
I'm really starting to like Bourjois as a brand.
